About Higher Ed Support
Higher Ed Support was founded in 2013 by Jim Dunn, an enrollment management leader and consultant with 30 years of experience in higher education. Jim’s background includes executive enrollment leadership, admissions operations, online enrollment growth, team development, recruitment strategy, and consulting work with colleges and universities across the country.
Throughout his career, Jim has led large admissions organizations, built and developed enrollment teams, supported institutional growth initiatives, improved recruitment and admissions processes, and advised colleges on enrollment strategy, conversion, student engagement, staffing, and performance. His experience includes both campus-based and online enrollment environments, giving him a broad view of how institutions recruit, enroll, and support students.
Higher Ed Support was created to give colleges access to experienced enrollment leadership without requiring a large consulting engagement or permanent executive hire. HES works with institutions that need practical help solving real enrollment challenges, whether that means improving admissions operations, reviewing enrollment performance, strengthening recruitment strategy, providing additional admissions support, or helping leadership better understand where opportunities and problems exist.
The approach is intentionally practical. HES is not built around generic consulting models or one-size-fits-all recommendations. Each engagement begins with the institution’s actual goals, challenges, data, people, and processes.
The objective is simple: help colleges make better enrollment decisions, improve execution, and focus their time and resources where they can have the greatest impact.

Katherine manages the day-to-day operation of our admissions assistance service and has trained all of our outreach and processing staff.
Her years of experience working with our admissions clients has allowed her to gain a highly diverse knowledge base related to all segments of admissions operations and systems for campuses of all sizes and across all modalities.

Jim Dunn
Founder and Enrollment Consultant
Mr. Dunn has nearly 30 years experience as an enrollment staffing consultant, operations consultant, Vice President of Enrollment, Vice President of Student Services and Director of Admissions.
He advises our clients through the entire enrollment funnel and through the first year student experience.
